AMBA (Association of MBAs) is a UK-based organisation developed in 1967 to examine only the content of an MBA programme. Unlike the other two, it focuses on the programme itself and not the school. Thus, it is common for business programmes to have AMBA accreditation alongside another standard.

EQUIS

EQUIS assesses institutions as a whole. It assesses not just degree programs but all the activities and sub-units of the institution, including research, e-learning units, executive education provision and community outreach. Institutions must be primarily devoted to management education.

AACSB

The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business

AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) International was founded in the US in 1916 and began its accreditation function with the first adoption of standards in 1919. It has continued to evolve by including new measures for business schools through rigorous review.

EPAS

EPAS is an international programme accreditation system operated by EFMD. It aims to evaluate the quality of any business and/or management programme that has an international perspective and, where of an appropriately high quality, to accredit it.

EOCCS

ACBSP

ACBSP accredits business programs. ACBSP does not accredit the institution, only the business programs offered at the institution.

International Accreditation Council for Business Education

The International Accreditation Council for Business Education is an educational accreditation agency for college and university business programs.

DETC

Distance Education and Training Council

USA

The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is a private, non-profit organization that operates as a national accreditor of institutions that primarily offer distance education. Founded in 1926, the DEAC holds recognition by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Accreditation by DEAC covers all distance education activities within an institution and it provides a single source of nationally recognized accreditation from the primary school level through professional doctoral degree-granting institutions.
