Croatia is beautiful country which attracts us with its lovely seaside and the number of great islands. Moreover Croatia is set in very interesting region where you can learn a lot about bloody post-Yugoslav wars visiting venues as Vukovar. Zagreb is charming city in the heart of former Austro-Hungarian Empire – city with great cultural offer and vibrant nightlife. Croatian people are very friendly and they speak good English. I’d recomment taking language course at University of Zagreb – during one academic year I learned Croatian quite well. Before I came I didn’t speak Croatian at all while at the end my level was between B1 and B2. Food in student’s restaurants with the famous ‘x-card’ is amazingly cheap in Croatia – full meal costs around 1 euro!
