Description
The University of Ljubljana is a public research university located in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Founded in 1919, it is the oldest and largest university in the country, with over 63,000 enrolled students. The University of Ljubljana offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various disciplines, including economics, law, medicine, social sciences, and natural sciences.
The Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Social Sciences are two of the most prominent faculties at the university, offering a variety of programs in business, economics, finance, and management. •I really like an attitude of teachers- they are very helpful. I was very suprised when on lecture there were slovenian and erasmus students and a lecture was in English (not in Slovenian). Also, classes are more interesting- I created a video game! All lessons were very interesting, on high level. Teachers are treated you as a person- on the same level. You can call them even on names;p- not sir.
About city and student life- first of all, you have studentski boni- it means that you have a discount for meal- you can eat in every restaurant for 3 euros! – chinese, mexican, italian- whatever you want. And in meal you have: soup, main dish, a desert, drink and salad. Also dormitories are cheap (around 80 euros). City is small (300 000 people) but it is a capital so there is lots of things to do. Also slovenia is very small so you can travel around and also go abroad (Italy, Austria, Hungary or Balkan!). -

•Ljubljana is a great student city, with a lot of different faculties within the university, and interesting programs. Down side is that faculty buildings are scattered all over the city, creating no common student space, the same goes for student accommodation which is also scattered all over. One thing missing with Uni of Ljubljana is unity. Otherwise, faculties are nicely organised working as individual institutions under University supervision.
