Regent University is a private Christian university located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States. The university was founded in 1978 by Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson, a well-known religious broadcaster and former U.S. presidential candidate. Regent University offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs through its schools of business and leadership, communication and the arts, divinity, education, government, law, and psychology and counseling.
Regent University’s School of Business and Leadership offers a variety of graduate-level programs, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. The MBA program emphasizes a strong foundation in business principles and ethics, as well as leadership and management skills. Students can choose from several concentrations, including accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, human resource management, marketing, and project management. The School of Business and Leadership also offers a Doctor of Strategic Leadership (DSL) program, which is designed to prepare graduates for leadership positions in organizations.
The School of Law at Regent University offers a Juris Doctor (JD) program as well as an online Master of Arts in Law (M.A. in Law) program. The JD program is a three-year program that emphasizes a Christian perspective on law and legal education, with courses in legal theory, ethics, and jurisprudence. The M.A. in Law program is designed for professionals who want to gain a deeper understanding of legal issues without pursuing a full law degree.
Regent University’s School of Divinity offers several graduate-level degree programs, including Master of Divinity (MDiv), Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degrees. The School of Psychology and Counseling offers a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) degree as well as a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree.
In addition to its academic programs, Regent University is also known for its Center for Entrepreneurship, which provides resources and support for entrepreneurs and small business owners in the community. The university also operates the Regent University School of Law Center for Global Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law, which is dedicated to promoting human rights and justice around the world.
