National University of Ireland Galway

The National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) is a public research university located in Galway, Ireland. It was founded in 1845 as Queen’s College Galway and was one of the three Queen’s colleges, along with those in Belfast and Cork. In 1908, it became a constituent college of the new National University of Ireland, and in 1997, it was renamed as the National University of Ireland Galway.
