Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies

Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LLU) is a university located in the city of Jelgava, Latvia. The university is the only higher education institution in Latvia that provides education and research in agriculture, forestry, food science and engineering, veterinary medicine, and social sciences related to rural development.

The university has a long history, tracing its origins back to 1863 when it was founded as the Agricultural Institute of Jelgava. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes and organizational restructurings, becoming the Latvia University of Agriculture in 1990 and then the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies in 2018.
