GLOBIS is different from other business schools. In particular, the different approach to teaching stood out for me. At GLOBIS, you have to speak out and defend your opinion at all times. In the international environment of the English MBA program, I learnt different opinions and ideas from classmates who came from many countries around the world. These interactive class discussions can be quite rare at other, more traditional business schools.
Another thing that stood out was that courses also support and motivate you to become a good leader.
However, beyond practical business management knowledge and skills, and a strong human network, I also learned about morality and ethics to be come a successful and happy entrepreneur.
During my time in the GLOBIS MBA program I constantly met up-to-date business expertise through the faculty, energetic study friends in students, and found how I could realize my mission (kokorozashi).
The first half of my MBA was spent gathering new skills and mindsets, while the second half was more focused on utilizing those to create my business and career plan.
I must admit it was tough for me to read lots of case studies in English, but this was a fundamental part of my learning and led to rewarding debates and discussions with my classmates in each session.
My profession in audit and advisory requires me to possess vision as a business leader. I believe that the syllabus of GLOBIS MBA program is most relevant to what I really need. After working for 5 years, I felt that was a good time to take a further step in my career path, and an MBA degree could help me achieve my goal.
The part time program allowed me to balance work and school. This being an English program gave me an opportunity to study and socialize with both Japanese and international students. I like how the curriculum is up to date and tech-focused while still giving students the opportunity to immerse in Japanese management principles.
