Charles Sturt University is a public university based in New South Wales, Australia. Who’s it for?

The 16-subject MBA is designed for students who have an undergraduate degree from a recognised Australian college or university, or an equivalent professional qualification. You don’t need to show previous work experience to enrol on this course.

What’s involved?

Study a combination of core, professional development, restricted elective and specialisation subjects. Study topics include management, marketing, strategy and finance. You may choose to specialise in Finance, HR Management, IT or Marketing.

Entry Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree from a recognised college or university, or an equivalent professional qualification
  • No relevant work experience is required but you must complete the Professional Development subjects as part of your degree.

If you don’t have a recognised bachelor’s or postgraduate degree but you do have a lower level qualification (such as an associate degree or a three-year diploma from China), you can enrol on the MBA via the Graduate Certificate of Commerce.

If you are continuing on to the 12-subject MBA, an additional three years of relevant work experience is also required.

If you’ve successfully completed the CSU Master of Business or Master of Commerce and you don’t have previous work experience, you’ll be eligible to enrol on the 16-subject MBA with a maximum of 50% credit, depending on the subjects you studied.

You can also apply for the Master of Business Administration after completing the Graduate Certificate in Commerce or the Graduate Diploma of Commerce. In both cases you’ll be eligible for credit towards the Master of Business Administration.
